About University

Established in 1992, Zainul Hague Sikder Women’s Medical College and Hospital is a private medical college in Bangladesh. The management of the college has been working hard for the development of the institution. The aim of the management of Z.H Sikder Women’s College and Hospital is to develop the institution into the centre of excellence in medical education with innovative approaches at the undergraduate as well as post-graduate level.

On the other hand, with the efforts of the founder of the college, Chairman Mr Z. H. Sikder the management is working on the development of conventional departments that are essential for undergraduate medical education. Recently, Cardiac Care and Research Centre with facilities for Cardiothoracic Surgery and Interventional Cardiology have been launched in the college. Up to date infrastructure and technology has been used for high quality exposure and training of the students and doctors studying and working here.

The Department of Radiology and Imaging was introduces in the college using the most modern equipment to carry out detailed routine radiological investigations like C.T angiogram, Mammography, Ultrasonography, C.T Scan, Ultra Modern MRI etc.

The members of the teaching staff of the ZHSWMC is well experienced and highly qualified. The curriculum of MBBS and all other medical courses of the university is designed according to the international standards. The duration of MBBS program is five years. After five years, the students are provided with one year of hospital internship training that helps the students in gaining better experience and knowledge in their fields. The medical degree obtained from Z.H Sikder Women’s Medical College is recognized by WHO, UNESCO, MCI and other major organizations.

Admission Process for admission in Z.H Sikder Women’s Medical College

The process of admission in Z.H Sikder Women’s Medical College is very simple. No entrance exam is required for admission. The students are selected on the basis of their 12th standard grades. The students are not required to pay any donation fee. The Session usually commences from January each year. The college publishes an advertisement in the newspaper every year. Also the information is available on the college website. All MBBS medical admission procedure is done by DGHS.

Student Life

The students studying MBBS in Z.H Sikder Women’s Medical College get a very friendly and healthy environment. The college supports multi cultural environment. Around 50% percent of the total student population in the college is from foreign countries. The students get to know each other and understand other cultures.

The hostels are well equipped with all the basic facilities and amenities. The food provided in the college canteen is very hygienic. The students are encouraged to take part in various cultural activities. The hostel rooms are equipped with TV, internet access, heating and air conditioning system, water supply etc. The hostels of the college are well secured under the surveillance of security guards and cameras.

The students studying MBBS and other medical courses in the college actively take part in international conferences, seminars, projects etc. which helps them in gaining better knowledge and experience.
