Kyrgyzstan is one of the Central Asian republics bordering Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. It is a mountainous country, 93% of its territory is located at over 1000 meters above sea level.Lake Issyk-Kul in the north-eastern Tian Shan is the largest lake in Kyrgyzstan and the second largest mountain lake in the world after Titicaca . The highest peaks are in the Kakshaal-Too range, forming the Chinese border. Peak Jengish Chokusu , at 7,439 m (24,400 feet), is the highest point and is considered by geologists (though not mountaineers) to be the northernmost peak over 7,000 m (23,000 feet) in the world. Heavy snowfall in winter leads to spring floods which often cause serious damage downstream. The runoff from the mountains is also used for hydro-electricity.

The climate of Kyrgyzstan is a sharply continental climate with very hot summers and cold winters in the mountain regions. Approximately 247 days a year are shiny. The temperature in January varies between -4 º to -14 º C; in July varies between +12 º to +40 º C. In winter warm clothes needed and in summer light clothes such as shorts and T-shirts are essential.

In Kyrgyzstan one can see the transition from the subtropical climate of the Fergana valley and semi-desert of the Chui and Talas valleys to the eternal frost of the mountains. In the valleys the wintertime is warmer than in the mountains. Because of this light clothes are appropriate in summer, but in winter, mediums to warm clothes are essential.

The Main religion of people of Kyrgyzstan is Islam. There are around 83% Population However People follow russian Culture.
